About Us
WHAT IS VCNA?
Vision Center Network of America, LLC (VCNA) is comprised of a group of ophthalmic ambulatory surgery centers that came together in March of 2016 with the intention of advancing Value-Based Care (defined as high quality healthcare at a lower than average cost) for the patients they currently serve within the States of New York and New Jersey. VCNA is a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) with the aim of significantly improving the healthcare delivery system in the specialty area of ophthalmic surgery wherein patients, payers and providers all realize higher value regardless of a fee-for-service or fee-for-value reimbursement paradigm.

Short-Term Goals
-
Maintain the identity of each member Center as a private, independent facility that has voluntarily chosen to clinically integrate with other like-minded facilities for the purposes of improving quality and cost efficiency in the healthcare delivery system
-
Establish an infrastructure of clinical and non-clinical administrators and management leaders
-
Create an IT infrastructure
-
Develop a care process design system (CPDS) that improves the experience and outcomes of the patient and reduces per capita cost of care

Long-Term Goals
-
Formation of an entity that can respond to all payers (including Medicare and Medicaid) as reimbursements potentially change from a fee-for-service to a fee-for-value based model
-
Develop an entity that can negotiate from a position of strength with hospitals, healthcare systems and physician-led CINs
-
Expand VCNA’s business model outside the current primary geographic areas of the collective Centers
